That Time of the Year

It is that time of year again; time to file our taxes.  Every year we promise ourselves that next year we will be ready.  We promise that we are going to keep every receipt and get more organized.  With most of us this was just wishful thinking.  Reality is we know we are not going to change.  People are creatures of habit.  It takes tremendous upheaval in our lives to actually facilitate change. 

Today we are lucky, we do not have to stress about doing our taxes as we once did.  Today, we have a great deal of choice when it comes to doing our taxes.  The day was in past years that in order to get your taxes done you had to go to an accountant.  You could also have gone to a tax attorney.  Both of whom would have cost you an arm and a leg.

With the coming of the internet it has ushered in a whole new era in regards to tax returns.  We now have the choice to have our taxes done online.  This was unthinkable a few years ago.  The I.R.S did not allow online tax returns.  Like any Government entity they are slow to change. Time rolls on though and progress has a way of changing everything.  Even the I.R.S.  Online tax returning has become the preferred way for millions of Americans to file their taxes.  Filing our taxes online has become easy and affordable. Perhaps the greatest thing about filing our taxes online is the speed at which we can get that refund check.
