Why File Taxes Online?

We are fortunate today to have a great many choices when it comes to doing our taxes online.  The choices vary from software programs we install on our personal computer, to software that runs entirely in our web browser.

Depending on your income level, you might even be able to file your taxes online for free.  Most companies providing tax software also offer an online service as well.

We also have the choice of many local tax service providers.  Many people find it more convenient to do their taxes at home online.

These are just a few of the many online tax providers available.  You may choose to have your tax return done locally.  If you choose to go this route remember to ask them to file your return electronically.  In most cases there will be a fee to e-file your return.  This is a small price to pay for the faster refund you will get by e-filing.
